Basic information: Department of internal medicine was originally founded in 1988 and the ward was reconstructed in 2002. At present, there is one ward (52 beds) including one Intensive Care Unit (3 beds), a single high-grade room and a double high-grade room. There are 18 clinicians altogether, among which there are 2 chief physicians , 3 associate chief physicians ,7 attending physicians and 7 residents. They have a? total of three doctorates, 11 master degree and 4 bachelor degree. The outpatient Department consist of four ordinary consulting clinics, one specialist clinic and one expert clinic. The ordinary consulting clinics open from Monday to Saturday(only in the morning on Saturday), the experts are on duty only in the morning from Monday to Friday every week. It covers all fields of the internal medicine. In addition, several ?attending physicians are assigned to support the medical and health work of health centers of Zhangfang and Zhoukoudian at Fangshan District on a long-term basis.
Coverage of Treatment: The internal medicine is characterized as a comprehensive medical Department, its treatment covers all the fields of internal medicine including respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, urinary, hematological, endocrine systematic and Metabolic, rheumatic, and neoplastic diseases.
Main equipment: multi parameter monitor, pulse and Spo2 monitor, defibrillator, temporary cardiac pacemaker, transesophageal atrial pacing device, minitype Doppler ultrasound , non-invasive/invasive ventilator, micro-infusion pump, gastrointestinal nutrition pump, insulin pump etc.
Technology: At present, we have developed lots of technology for diagnosis and therapy, such as temporary/permanent cardiac pacemaker implantation, coronary angiography and interventional therapy for cardiovascular disease, Intra-aortic balloon pumping, inferior vena cave filter placement, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, monitoring and therapy sleep apnea syndrome, intensive insulin therapy in diabetics, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, chemotherapy of tumor etc. we have salvaged and treated many emergency and critical disease which conclude cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction with shock, malignant cardiac arrhythmia, septic shock, massive gastrointestinal hemorrhage, massive emptysis, severe respiratory failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome, diabetic ketoacidosis, hyperosmolar coma, severe pancreatitis and multiple organ failure .
Characteristics:①cardiopulmonary rehabilitation training (focusing on the patients with chronic heart failure and/or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease),and we insist on rehabilitation training on Monday ,Wednesday and Friday every week.②Diabetes Mellitus(DM) specialist clinic, attending physicians are on duty from Monday to Friday every week, and work together with the doctors of surgery, orthopaedics and Departments of Prosthetics and orthotics--Limb manufacture etc to develop comprehensive therapy for diabetic foot, and insist on carrying out health education for the patients with DM once a month.
