Basic information：Depart. of prosthesis manufacture is a institute which specially goes with clinic to research、develop、assemble prosthesis and orthosis for disabled persons.All technologists accept three years’ sever technique training from Japanese prosthesis and orthosis experts.Some experts in the department, such as Professor Zhao Huisan, Cao Xuejun, are popular in China. Ever since foundation, it has made ten thousands of prosthesis and orthosis in the process of paraplegics、hemiparalysis、cerebralpalsy and amputee rehabilition.It is a flagship in the field of prosthesis and orthosis.The department has profound achievement on orthosis treating infantile paralysis、scoliolosis、avascular necrosis of the femoral head.In addition, during the rehabilition of amputee with nonideal stump,it gains outstanding performances in the cooperation with Dept. of orthopaedics.
Main Performances:
In July 1992, the department assembled high quality motion prosthesis for four Chinese athletes with LEA(lower extremity amputation) who participated in Wheelchair Games.They all won 4 gold medals, moreover, 2 broke the world record.
?In July 1994, the department installed high quality motion prosthesis for 19 Chinese athletes with AMP(amputated extremity) who participated in Wheelchair Games.They all won 27 gold medals、10 silver medals、8 bronze medals, furthemore, 5 persons broke the world record.
In 1995~96, it fixed advanced、pragmatic prosthesis for young girl Yang Xiaoxia with BE. amputation. from Linyi in Shandong Province, and then carried out rehabilitation training.
Between June and Aug in 2000,? ?it assembled pragmatic prosthesis for Yubao with both below knee amputation to whom society and media paid close attention.

Between January and June in 2005, it installed great prosthesis for “Basketball Girl” Qian Hongyan with both hip disarticulation. Difficulty of this setting work is big, and it need high technique. Succeed in installing prosthesis for patients with both hip disarticulation caused an uproar from domestic and international.

Between April and Aug in 2006, “National Modal Sightseeing Guide” Wen Huazhi was assenbled high–quality、excellent prosthesis ,and was carried out rehabilitation training.Now,she is capable of walking steadily with both legs.
