The 3rd Beijing International Forum on Rehabilitation

Dear experts, professors, colleagues and friends:
Beijing in 2008 is the proud of China and the world, where both 29th Olympic Games and 13th Paralympic Games will be held. Then in October, the golden season of Beijing, the 3rd Beijing International Forum on Rehabilitation & 20-year Anniversary Celebration of China Rehabilitation Research Center (CRRC) will be held in Beijing. Hereby, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, I sincerely invite you to the forum and celebration and it is believed to be an invaluable opportunity for Chinese and overseas experts from rehabilitation field to exchange and collaborate each other.

Since its establishment in Oct. 1988, CRRC, being greatly supported by our government, international fields and all sides of society, also with the 20-year hard working of our staff, has become the biggest modernized comprehensive rehabilitation organization including the only national top-class hospital with characteristic of rehabilitation, Beijing BO AI Hospital. Our center is responsible for all-around rehabilitation therapy, scientific research, professionals training, information and social service of the disabled in China. A comprehensive rehabilitation system has been built up with combination of the following including: management at acute stage and rehabilitation at early/chronic stage, modern medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, integrated rehabilitation of education, society and occupation with focus of medical rehabilitation. CRRC has been working as a technical resource center and a demonstrating window in the rehabilitation field in China. By now a lot of famous rehabilitation organizations, associations and institutes from both China and abroad have become our collaborative partners with long-term friendly relationship, which played important role in international exchange of China rehabilitation field and demonstrated the development of human rights issues and rehabilitation course of the disabled in China.
To promote continually the development of our rehabilitation course in China, the 1st and 2nd Beijing International Forum on Rehabilitation was successfully held respectively in 2006 and 2007 in Beijing sponsored by CRRC. The forum this year will be held together with the 21st Annual Congress of Chinese Spine and Spinal Cord and International Network Seminar in Rehabilitation to increase exchange and displaying the up to date achievement in rehabilitation field with advanced ideas, technique and methods for facing together the challenge in the future. We believe, with the successful holding of the forum, the depth and extent of international exchange will be promoted to build up a real international family in the rehabilitation field in the near future.
Finally, on behalf of our organizing committee and staff of CRRC, I warmly welcome all of you to the forum and celebration and become members of our big international family of rehabilitation field. Let’s work together to contribute to the development of rehabilitation course in China and abroad.
